265th Greenhill Scouts NEEST Challenge (Group Stories)

265th Greenhill Scout group for the first time, took on the annual N.E.S.S.T. challenge at Walesby Forest. Setting off in teams of 8, in temperatures at -2oC, ice and flooding. 265th Scouts started at 19:26 finishing at 02:02 (6 hrs 36 mins) and with a distance of 14 miles!!

What is N.E.S.S.T?
Founded in 1987, N.E.S.S.T. is made up of industry professionals who volunteer their time and skills to help both scouting and the wider community. With a wide range of skills and equipment in the team, we have a full suite of services to help to make your event a success.
The Challenge Walk
The Challenge Walk is open to all Scouts, Explorers, Guides, Senior Section, Network Units, other recognised youth organisations and leader teams. Teams of between 4 and 8 participants will hike through the night taking in a series of bases and challenges along the way. The challenge walk is offered in two lengths, the shorter walk of approximately 10 miles, and the longer walk of approximately 18 miles.
